Nose Job

Nasal surgery...nose job...rhinoplasty...all mean the same. The nose can be made bigger or smaller. The crooked nose can be straight. A dorsal hump can be reduced. The nostril flare can be reduced. A weak bridge can be lifted. Nasal bones can be narrowed. The nasal tip can be made smaller and sculpted. And much more. Nasal surgery is one of my favorite surgeries.

The Tummy Tuck ( Abdominoplasty) repairs mid line abdominal muscle separation that occurs with pregnancy and childbirth, age, and weight swings. In addition excess skin and fat are removed. Liposuction can absolutely be done safely at the same time. The original belly button (umbilicus) is moved to a new site and made natural and attractive. The Marcain pain pump makes a world of difference and the procedure can be done with quite minimal pain. The operation takes 3 hours and patients go home after surgery. The operation is applicable to both men and women. This may be the best operation in the entire sphere of elective plastic surgery. An added bonus is that back pain is often relieved and normal exercise, activity, and clothes you like are again possible.

What is the mommy makeover. The usual operations done to restore pre pregnancy beauty and figure include breast augmentation and or breast uplift, the tummy tuck, liposculpture, thigh lifts, buttocks lift, and arm lifts. Of course all of these are not indicated in any given person . The approach is to select what would be beneficial and what the patient desires. Once selected, it may be possible to accomplish all of these procedures at one surgery, or they can be staged over several, depending on individual desire. Goals include restoration of an attractive breast contour, a flat youthful stomach, and correction of lipo dysprooportions wherever they occur. What can be done to help scars deminish in redness?

The redness noted in all scars early on is normal and in 3 to 6 months will fade. Unfortunately some scars thicken and stay red with retained excess and unnecessary vascular content. Laser treatments will help as will botox possibly and at times steroid creams and injections Silicon paste to cover the scar or silicon sheeting also helps. Scars can almost always be improved. Vaser Ultrasonic Liposuction Liposculpture has resulted in beautiful arm contouring. The arm skin contracts just fine after Vaser influence and this avoids long incisions and scars that result from skin removal. Skin removal is unnecessary. This works well for patients well into their 60s. It also works well in quite large arms but of course there are limits.

What Do Men Have Liposuctioned?

Of all areas treated, men benefit from liposuction of the abdomen and flanks the most. This zone is often called the love handle area. The chest is an area that becomes flabby with fat deposits even in fit males. Vaser liposuction-liposculpture resolves this nicely. Of course the neck, jowls, and jaw line can benefit a male greatly just as well as it can a female. The thighs and buttocks are less common areas treated in men but there are candidates. Even men who are quite fit can experience a lipodysproportion or lipodystrophy of an area. Just as we can be born with large noses or ears that stick out, we can also have congenitally prominent areas that collect fat despite our best efforts.
